Virgin London Marathon 2011 · 17 April 2011 ·

Every 9 days in Scotland a baby or child will die suddenly and unexpectedly - many of their families will never know why they died. As the only charity in Scotland dedicated to the issue of Sudden Unexpected Death in Infancy (SUDI), we provide support, education resources and fund research.

Story

HEY Folks! There has been a change of plan and I won't be running the marathon this year as I'll be in India!!! Thank you to those who have donated already but it won't be wasted as I'll be running it next year. Roll on 2012!!!!

Please read even if you're not Scottish! I only need a fiver!!!

Here we go again! I'll try to be brief. I won't lie! Running a marathon is about achieveing personal goals as well as raising money for important charities. Some of you will remember that I ran the London marathon in 4hrs 5mins in 2008 after one of the most traumatic times in my life. Nothing, not even a marathon will compare to that!. Anyway I'm back on track and want to prove that I can run the marathon in under 4hours before I'm 40 (this year!) So the race really is on. I have managed to get a place through The Scottish Cot Death Trust (thanks Gill!) which is a very worthy cause, researching why we lose beautiful, tiny babies in their sleep. If you need to know more heart wrenching stories then follow their link on my page but I'm sure you'll agree that a charity that supports parents and families who have suddenly lost a, seemingly healthy, young child without reason, is a good one.

So, alls I'm asking is for at least a fiver. Yes, just a fiver... and perhaps you could forward this page to a few friends.

Dream. Achieve. Live!!!
