I am running the London Marathon for the Albany Taxi Charity Fund because for over 40 years licensed London taxi drivers have been taking children with special needs to the coast, countryside, plays, films and pantomimes.

All these outings are attended by Licensed Taxi-Drivers not only from London but also from the suburbs, they supply themselves and their Taxis free of charge and are always on hand to help Special Needs children.

They also provide finance to any school, home, hospice or individual child for any object the local councils do not provide, from special wheelchairs, hand bells, or audio and visual equipment. 

Established in 1972 for Children with Special Needs from South East London & the Kent Area. They now take over 300 children/carers in 100 black taxis down to Hastings for a fun day out. They also take children from Chernobyl to Herne Bay.

I have attempted and failed twice to run a marathon in under 4 hours. I am hoping it is third time lucky!
