In 2010 along with Lucy Macnab and Nick Hornby I founded the Ministry of Stories (MoS), a creative writing charity for young people in East London. I thought it was important then because I believed that many more children in London could be supported to write with creativity and confidence.   Since then, MoS has worked with thousands of children and recruited thousands of volunteer writing mentors to give them the individual attention we believes makes the difference with children's writing and literacy.  Ten years later, I am about to leave the Ministry and, because I wanted to help make sure its work continues, I am facing my biggest fear by jumping out of a plane at 10,000 feet to raise money for its mission.  I hope you'll want to support me.
