Story

The Berkeley Foundation was established by the Berkeley Group in March 2011. It is a registered charity, supporting young people and their communities.

The BHET Directors are climbing Ben Nevis for Demelza in June 2015, they have already donated £100 each of their own money and will need your help getting to the £6000 target!

Demelza became the designated charity of Berkeley Homes East Thames in 2012. Through events like a 5 a side football tournament and a fun run around the shell of a Crossrail station, we were able to donate £20,000. This allowed them to pay for the cost of a care assistant for a whole year. During 2013, we also began to subsidise the costs of a newly recruited Trading Area Manager for Demelza through the Berkeley Foundation's Job Creation Programme and Demelza have now been able to keep the position permanently. At the Demelza House Business Awards in 2013, Berkeley was recognised with an award as their "Outstanding Corporate Sponsor".

About the charity

Demelza believes in care that doesn't back down. We deliver extraordinary care to extraordinary children who are facing serious or life-limiting conditions, throughout Kent, South East London and East Sussex.
