The most recent brush I’ve had with Mountain Rescue as an organisation is watching the way the teams have pulled together during the ongoing Saddleworth Moor fires. We have been away the past week and hearing of the news through neighbours and the media. Coming home today it is evident that the hard work is not yet over. 

I’m already running this race with a group if Chorlton runners but would like to give people the opportunity to support an organization that time after time shine through in times of need. It is a 60km run through Snowdonia including a summit of the mountain itself. I ran the marathon distance three years ago and amnesia has allowed me to sign up for the ultra distance this year.
