Story
Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
My sister Tricia was diagnosed with a liver condition called Primary Biliary Cirrhosis when she was only 40.
Tricia lived with the fact that as this was a progressive illness, one day she was going to have to face the prospect of a liver transplant.
In March 2017 Tricia arrived at that point. She was extremely ill and we were informed that she was going to be airlifted to London as a liver was available.
This is when I first heard about the RVH liver support group. They gave our family much needed support both with information and the promise of financial help, which was a great weight lifted off during a time of great stress and emotion. Unfortunately Tricia never made it to London and she died days after being told the transplant was going to happen at the young age of 54.
Tricia’s family and friends have put together relay teams to raise money for the RVH liver trust – a local charity supporting local people and their families with any form of liver disease, so they can continue their amazing work. They are a completely voluntary charity relying solely on donations. Please help us help them by donating on our just giving page or contact any of us to donate cash.
My beautiful sister lost her battle please help us to help other families win theirs.
Thank you in advance.
