About the cause:

The Blue Dragon Children's Foundation rescues kids from danger, reunites them with their families when possible, and provides all the services needed for recovery and growth. Blue Dragon kids are street kids, children with disabilities, children from rural families living in extreme poverty, and victims of human trafficking and slavery.

Recently, I got involved by giving them 3 work-outs per week focussing on stability and core strength, and observing and correcting their running technique. As a physiotherapist, I am thrilled to see how extremely motivated and determined these amazing kids are, but I was shocked by the state of the shoes they are running on. I wouldn’t be surprised if they fall apart in the next training session. I think it’s needless to say that such a distance shouldn’t be run on completely worn-out shoes.
