In 2016 Bobby was born deaf, my wife and I were devastated. But we soon learnt deafness wasn't the only challenge Bobby needed to face on a day to day basis. 

He has since been diagnosed with a CHD-7 Gene mutation which has left Bobby with no Semi-Circular Canals, this is the organ that gives you and I the ability to balance. Bobby is constantly required to be in a safe environment and wears his protective helmet to keep him safe from the daily falls he encounters. 

Suffolk Community Foundation have assisted us in funding specialist equipment which gives Bobby a sense of freedom. Earlier this year they helped us fund a Trike for Bobby which can be viewed in the gallery. In Bobby's earlier years they helped fund a specialised oversized pushchair so Bobby could continue to venture out and about with his brother and sister.

Bobby is doing great and despite his challenges he remains a happy positive boy who loves trying to keep up with his siblings.  

Suffolk Community Foundation are a great charity who support families on a daily basis to allow them to live their best lives.
