Story

My introduction to urology began when my father was operated on for prostate cancer by Professor Roger Kirby.  Roger founded The Urology Foundation (TUF) to drive research and training that would improve urology patient outcomes and drive treatment efficiencies for NHS and private patients.  I have been helping with fundraising since 2015.  Key achievements include the introduction and expansion of robotic surgery for prostate and kidney surgery as well as training and development to improve treatment standards and drive best practice for the enormous number of women and men affected.  For example, the NHS estimate that 34% of women are living with incontinence.  A small improvement will benefit a lot of lives. Given that urology patient numbers are growing faster than staff numbers, and more than half the population will experience a urological condition in their lifetime, your support will be really appreciated and will help to drive the much needed improvements. Please contact me if you would like any further information about TUF's work.
