This September over 100 runners will be taking on the 2021 Brighton Marathon Weekend for Albion in the Community. Whether it is the BM10K or the 26.2 miles of the marathon, everyone is part of Team Albion.

Story

Brighter Outlook is an initiative run by Albion in the Community which helps people living with and beyond cancer to become more physically active.

The Brighter Outlook running group which meets weekly has encouraged these runners, who have all lived or are living with cancer, to take up running as a pleasurable form of physical activity.  And they are loving it!

Despite lockdown they have all continued to run individually or in pairs when that has been permitted.   They work hard, they support each other and they laugh a lot!   We are now running back together as a group and preparing for the BM10k which is now on the 12th September 2021.

If you have a few spare pennies, please do throw them in the pot for these lovely runners.  They are all inspiring and amazing.  Help them encourage other people living with cancer to become more physically active.

Thank you.
