Story

Our 2015 End to End cycle challenge is the true test of any cyclist. The route runs from the very Northern most tip of the UK at John O’Groats to the farthest tip of Cornwall at Land’s End.

Unlike most end-to-end rides, The Norland ride doesn’t choose the shortest route from A to B. Riders do a few extra miles each stage, but this allows us to find the best riding in the UK.

We will ride the majesty of the Scottish highlands the rolling hills and valleys of the Peak District and finish with the rugged coastline of Cornwall.

No other single ride manages to string so much exceptional cycling together along so many unknown and hidden back roads.

During our 967 mile journey in just 72 hours we will climb around 15,000 meters. That is around 13 times up Alpe d’Huez or almost twice the height of Everest!

Why would we do such a crazy challenge? Because we want to continue to make a difference to Chelsea and Westminster Hospital and the Children's Hospital Trust Fund.

Our End to End Challenge 2015 will support the latest project is to buy a “Digital Swallowing Workstation”.

This is a state of the art piece of equipment which enables clinicians to have an enhanced insight and better understanding of a baby or child’s swallowing process.

There is no other children’s hospital in the UK that currently has access to this technology and so we are delighted to be supporting this important project which will revolutionise the way babies and children who have swallowing difficulties are diagnosed and treated.

In addition to this clinical use, the workstation would also be used for training and research projects.

Be a part of this great challenge and sponsor the team!
