Why I'm having a cupcake day this year, I saw an advert on the TV and something inside me said 'yeah let's do this', so I roped my sister in as co-organiser, I think at this point we have both gone a little 'cupcake crazy'. Our Mum was diagnosed with Dementia nearly 3 years ago, every day is a learning curve, and each day sees another little piece of her fade away. Nothing can prepare you for the sadness you feel watching someone you love so much change so rapidly. Our cupcake day is to raise some much needed funds to help the Alzheimer's Society in the fight against Dementia. At the moment there is no cure and in the UK alone, someone will develop Dementia every three minutes. Hopefully the money we raise will help towards finding a cure so that no more families have to suffer in the ways that we have .
