We enable people with blood cancer to survive by finding them stem cell donors

Story

On the 20th May we are aiming to complete the National 3 Peaks Challenge in memory of my father, Nicholas Beazley. As some of you already know, my Dad passed away in May 2013 after an unsuccessful bone marrow transplant, and this weekend will be the four-year anniversary of his death.

Our aim is to climb the highest peaks in Scotland, England and Wales in only 24 hours (Ben Nevis to Scafell Pike to Snowdon). We will be raising money for Anthony Nolan, a charity that provides donors for people with blood cancer or blood disorders who need transplants.

Anthony Nolan is a fantastic charity that helps three people a day to find a lifesaving donor match. It also conducts world-class research into stem cell matching and transplantsso any money that we can give will help. We are also trying to encourage any males between the ages of 16-30 to join the register, as at the moment this category make up only 15% of potential donors on the register. All you need to do is apply for a spit kit through the Anthony Nolan website and send off a sample. You might be a lifesaving match for somebody, and if you do not fall into this category then please encourage somebody else to register.

As this is something very close to our hearts we would greatly appreciate any donations that you feel you can give.

Love Mili, Livvi and Eliza
