Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

2014 Brings May 40 number 4. Not sure why I asked for last year to not be a scorcher as the weather dually obliged and it rained. Anything given is very much appreciated and a bonus on top of having a great day. Thanks again for everyone's continued support.

Martin.

Here we are again. 5 weeks to go to the 3rd May 40. Lets hope its not as much of a scortcher as it was last year. Thanks to everyone for your support. £4200 is a fantastic ammount to have raised for Breast Cancer Care. Hopefully we can add another good chunk to it this year. Good luck to everyone on the day.

Martin.

A year has gone by and its almost time for the 2nd May 40. last year was a great success and this year the numbers have doubled. So hopefully we can continue to grow the total raised for Breast Cancer Care. Thanks very much for your support. looking forward to the day! Not long now!

 Martin.

Just a quick update !! last summers Ride was fantastic. This May, 21st, there are about 16 of us doing a Duathlon. 10 mile run & 30 mile ride. So once again if you are able to donat a few quid then please do.

Thanks very much.

As some of you may know my wife Sam was diagnosed with breast cancer in the summer of last year. This was made even more frightening having also lost my mum to cancer.

Thankfully, 12 months on, everything is looking a lot more positive and Sam is well on the way to recovery.

So it is time to try and give something back & support all the wonderful people who supported us through a particularly difficult time.

Breast Cancer Care is a charity that is there for anyone affected by breast cancer. They provide all aspects of care from advice and support to clinical breast care nurses. They campaign for improvement in standards of support and care while also promoting the importance of early detection.

For further info please visit : www.breastcancercare.org.uk

Along with my brother-in-law I am cycling from Fort William in the Scottish Highlands down to Bowness on Windermere in Cumbria. The ride will take place over the 2nd weekend in September 2010 & is 320 miles over 4 days.

I have set a target of £2000. So I will do my bit with 320 miles in the saddle and if you could please do your bit, dig deep, and give as much as you can. No matter how small !

Thank you very much.

Martin.

Update June 27th 2010

Well done to Sam, Poppy and Sukie who today did the Race For Life to raise funds for Cancer Research. They raised over £1000. Some photos are attached.
