For years I have watched Dad, Olly and the Shivia team throw themselves into the challenge of empowering the poorest to create livelihoods, boost income and inspire permanent change across the World.

Focusing mainly in rural West Bengal, one of India’s poorest and most populous states, the Shivia team work to give families living in rural villages near Kolkata the tools and training to start an enterprise from home so that they can earn money. It's about creating sustainable change that will last for generations!

I'm running the Royal Parks Half Marathon to support this change - I couldn't be more proud of Dad, Olly and the entire Shivia team for empowering the people in most need, and particularly women, to work their own way out of poverty and provide a brighter future for their children.
