Story
Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page for my brave baby girls, Neve & Belle 😇😇. Born fighting - Died fighting - Never forgotten.
My girls were premmies so were already accustomed to hospital life from birth. On 5th May 2013 both my daughters were diagnosed with Infant Acute Lymphoblastic Leukaemia (ALL), at Leeds General Infirmary.
Baby Neve aged just 6 months passed away a mere 15 days into intense chemotherapy treatment. Belle, her younger sister (by 3 minutes) fought, fought and fought for her life for 23 continuous months. Brave Belle did manage to get into remission in the beginning, but heartbreakingly relapsed twice - once in October 2014 and again February 2015. After battling not just Cancer, but Meningitis and Pneumonia, Belle gained her angel wings aged 28 months on 25th March 2015.
Our family have received and continue to receive support from local Leeds charity Candlelighters Trust. Candlelighters were one of many people on the Ward introduced to us when the girls were diagnosed...and they have never left our side.
"Team Neve & Belle" have taken part in many events and fundraisers to date, but this one is of particular importance as it takes place during September which is worldwide Childhood Cancer Awareness month!
Mummy hates heights, so this really will be a challenge for me. At 15,000ft, I'll take part in a group Skydive along with my lovely niece Kendall to raise vital funds for this amazing local charity. Candlelighters continue to support our family even after several years...they really are a charity close to mine and my girls hearts.
Please give as much or as little as you can...it all adds up and makes such a difference to so many families like us across the whole of Yorkshire.
