Story
On the 6th of December 2020 the Clinical Management Team at the University Hospital Dorset have committed to collectively walk 250 miles in 12 hours to raise money for the Poole Hospital Charity. They have kindly agreed to support us in their annual Elf Dash to raise over £7000 for an AccuVein - we'd love it if you could contribute by supporting our walking by committing to a small amount of sponsorship. The charity is trying to raise £25,000 for much needed equipment and causes across the trust.
The AccuVein works by using infrared to detect veins, it will be beneficial to the Outreach/Hospital at night service by enabling the team to gain difficult IV access or taking bloods from critically unwell patients.
To the Clinical Management Team..
To enter the 'CMT Elf Dash' its £5 (pay your £5 on here please) to take part and the anything extra is much appreciated!!
So what do you need to do next...
If you'd like to take part either let me know or sign up in the office with your name and the amount of miles you think you can realistically commit to - remember you have 12 hours to complete them. Every mile counts so don't feel pressured to do heaps but we're hoping we can hit our goal as a team!
Alternatively if you don't think you can commit to walking/running why not come down and grab a coffee (Boris permitting) and cheer on the team!
Thanks in advance! We've got this!!
Poole Hospital Charity - "Behind the festive fun we have 6 really important reasons why we need your help. Poole Hospital Charity raises money for equipment and services to continuously improve the high quality of care in Poole Hospital, but are beyond what the NHS is able to provide. This Christmas we have 6 vitally important, life-changing items on our Christmas List and we also want to make sure all of our patients who are here on Christmas Day have a fantastic time so we will be funding special presents for them all, adding up to a big £25,000."
