Carers’ Resource work to support, provide services and recognition for anyone living with the challenges of caring, unpaid, for a family member or friend who is ill, frail, disabled or has mental health or addiction problems. Their vision is that unpaid carers count and can access the help they need to live their lives.

The Covid-19 pandemic has had a catastrophic effect on Carers’ Resources ability to raise funds with the cancellation of all their events and the loss of income through fundraising.

This year marks 25 years of Carers' Resource, and inspired by the staff (including my wife) who undertook the Walk25 challenge earlier in the year, and with extra time on my hands due to the lockdown situation, I was inspired to take on my own challenge - and managed to convince a good friend to share the journey with me.

So, on Saturday 22nd August myself and Mark Whittaker will be cycling 250km around Craven, Harrogate and Bradford District taking in all three Carers’ Resources offices along the way. All in aid of Carers’ Resource.
