Having a baby is one of the most important events in life and providing high quality neonatal and maternal care is at the heart of the National Maternity Hospital, Holles Street. The NMH Foundation raises vital funds for the National Maternity Hospital, with a focus on advancing maternal and neonatal health, through funding research, innovation and excellence in care. These advances through research and practice will reduce risks for mothers and babies and will save lives.

As part of Challenge 32, our team of 5 people will cycle 32km each day for the month of June to reach a grand total of 5000km by the end of the month.

We are doing this to raise much needed funds to purchase an AngelEye camera for our babies and parents in the neonatal intensive care unit (NICU). The Angel Eye is a live, secure streaming system that gives parents, siblings and grandparents of sick newborn babies the opportunity to watch the baby remotely for a number of hours a day.  This has been particularly important during the necessary visiting restrictions imposed during the Covid-19 pandemic and has brought comfort and peace of mind to many the parents and extended families of our vulnerable babies. We want to purchase an additional camera for our unit in order to enable us to connect more families with their babies.  

All funds donated to this page will be used to purchase an AngelEye camera for the NICU at NMH. Any funds in excess of our target (e3500) will be used to purchase additional essential equipment in the NICU.
