Challenge Update:

Sadly, I am unable to continue with my planned marathon walk.  I am heart broken but due to injury it is no longer achievable for me.  Thankyou to those who had already donated to my cause – Youth Action Wiltshire.  Your support is really important to me, however, as I am no longer able to complete the challenge, if you would like to request a refund for your donation please contact fundraising@youthactionwiltshire.org. Youth Action Wiltshire continues to provide much needed support to a large cohort of young people across Wiltshire and relies on donations, grants, charitable trusts and corporate sponsorship.  If you are happy that your donation remain in place it will go towards providing youth worker support and respite activities for young people who engage with the amazing team at Youth Action Wiltshire and gain so much from the services they provide. Thank you for your support.

Caitlyn

My name is Caitlyn and I'm walking a 30mile marathon for Youth Action Wiltshire. I have been working with them for around 5-6 years now and they have saved me. They taught me confidence, self-belief, communication and that life is worth living. My mentors have helped me through some incredibly challenging times, including my GCSEs and the pandemic. All staff go above and beyond for every single young person they encounter; how often do you see that? Through YAW I went from participant to a leader- where I now help young people on activities; as someone who has experienced the impact of 121 support, mentoring and activity days first hand, I've seen young people make friends, grow confident in themselves and learn to push through life's barriers. Community first as a whole, has engaged with so many young people and reached out to them when no-one else did, and helped them get through school, get work placements and even many university places. No amount of words, stories, challenges or money will ever return my gratitude for this charity and everything they have done for me- however, I can and will do everything I can to hold out my hand of support to them. Please help me to ensure as many young people as possible have access to this charity and their support, activity days and more. They saved so many and continue to do so every single day.
