Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

I am attempting my first Ironman on the 3rd of December.  That's a 3.8km swim, 180 km ride and 42.2 km run that I have to finish inside 17 hours.

I am not going to pretend I am doing this for charity - I am doing this for myself as a huge 'bucket list' item.  It is quite a selfish pursuit, one that I am lucky enough to be able to attempt in part thanks to Susan, myself and our two kids being healthy.  Susan and I have friends and family around the world whose children have long term disabilities, chronic illness and are not in the position to be able to attempt something like this.  Some old friends of ours in Brisbane are have a little boy who is battling not only Childhood Cancer, but he and the whole family are also dealing with the side effects of the treatments used to help him.

We asked those friends if I was able to conduct some fundraising to go along with my IM attempt, which organization helping those with Childhood Cancer would they like supported.  They suggested Braver Stronger Smarter.
