I’m running the marathon again...! Same distance: 42km but this time round I ’m running for the DLS. They do absolutely vital work, providing free legal advice to people with disabilities, across the U.K., to ensure their rights are upheld. We’re talking about some of the most disadvantaged members of our society, some of whom have hidden disabilities; such as epilepsy, diabetes and mental health issues which can make daily life, employment and accessing services very difficult. The DLS provides an invaluable service to about 4000 people a year who are in crisis and despair due to discrimination or lack of access to the right care. 

About half of the people living in poverty in the U.K. are disabled or living in a household with a disabled member. Access to lawyers can be particularly difficult for these people due to the cost.The DLS provides legal support and representation. The service they offer is vital and is free. Please donate so that the DLS can carry on doing their amazing work.
