We fight disease and injury in animals to give dogs, cats and horses happier lives

Story

The AHT is the only charity specifically dedicated to improving the health and welfare of dogs, horses and cats by addressing the problems of disease and injury - the biggest threats to animal welfare in the UK today. Receiving no government funding, it is only through the generosity of their supporters that they are able to successfully achieve this goal. They need £5 million every year to improve the lives of thousands of animals.

The AHT is currently conducting research into a number of canine genetic illnesses which will benefit dogs, not just in the UK but, internationally; the money donated by you will go to AHT to help fund these research projects.

One of those projects is research into Hereditary Cataracts in Northern Breeds; the research is progessing very well but mor funding is needed.  Please donate to help support this vital research which, it is hoped will lead to locating the DNA marker(s) for HC in Northern Breeds.
