The Cure CJD campaign has been set up by a group of individuals, personally affected by the disease, to support the work of researchers & doctors at the MRC Prion Unit at UCL and NHS National Prion Clinic at UCLH. We are a fund within UCLH Charity.

Story

Carole sadly passed away on April 30th, 2019. She suffered from sporadic Creutzfeldt-Jacob Disease (sCJD) a fatal brain condition that affects one in a million people in the UK every year. There is currently no cure but every day scientists and doctors are getting closer to finding a treatment. The Cure CJD Campaign aims to raise funds to support the use of an antibody drug developed for the treatment of patients with sCJD.

Carole fought her illness with incredible bravery and determination. Shortly after being diagnosed with this unforgiving disease, Carole made it clear that she wanted to do anything she could to help save others yet to be hit by this cruel condition.

On behalf of Carole, we would very much appreciate any donation to the Cure CJD Campaign.
