Story
Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
I'm walking the Yorkshire Three Peaks on Saturday 12th June (knees and lungs willing) to raise much needed funds for The Cave Rescue Organisation. The walk is about 24 miles with approx 5000ft of ascent. Quite a challenge for my little legs! Having lived looking at Ingleborough every day for almost 8 years, it's about time I cracked on with it!
This amazing group of volunteers selflessly put their lives on the line to rescue folk who might come a cropper whilst out enjoying the hills and caves of the Yorkshire Dales. Covid has hit charities like this so hard as they haven't been able to hold any of their own fundraising activities this last year. I really was going to take part in their CRO Challenge this year - honest!
I also have a vested interest in CRO as one of their smashing members Paul, helped me hugely in my recovery from having properly rubbish lungs. He has encouraged me in all my endeavours and this is my opportunity to give something back. So Paul, this one's for you ;)
All donations no matter how small will all help make a difference to make sure CRO have all the equipment they need to help those in danger.

I've got a few more weeks of training to go, just hoping my poor ageing knees can hold on for a bit longer!
