I experienced childhood sexual abuse, witnessed and experiences of other emotional and physical abuse from family, abandonment, further adult date drug rape, stalkers, emotional or physical abuse relationships, gunman on tube and the list continues.

We need to make a change to support all children, bring them to safety and educate doctors, parliament, schools, society and work places on how to support effectively. The impact from childhood, not learning the right tools of life, carried over into adulthood- more unwelcomed events, some self inflicted (not proud) and many more from others that I did not have the courage to voice due to fear. Thank you to my workplace and safe people, without them I would not be here today.

PTSD UK is the only UK charity dedicated to the education about and awareness raising of Post Traumatic Stress Disorder, it's causes, symptoms & the treatments available - no matter the trauma that caused it.Our mission is to provide support and information for anyone affected by PTSD (and their friends and family). We campaign to improve services, raise awareness and promote understanding of the condition and treatments available.
