Story

Here I go... again!

I will be rappelling Over the Edge of a building again to fundraise for Canines for Disabled Kids! I have doubled my goal this year, and hope you can help me reach it!

Being a scholarship recipient myself in 2013 I understand the importance of our scholarship program for children under the age of 18. Since then, I have learned the many facets that CDK has not only worked for, but helped with. CDK is continuing to encourage the use of service dogs with children by traveling nationally (and internationally!) to educate and spread awareness.

Over the Edge is set to be the largest fundraising event of the year, and I hope to help surpass all goals!

What is independence to you? Do you turn lights on/off without assistance? Can you dress unaided? Do you run, swing, participate in social activities without fear of seizures? Everyday children & teens living with a variety of disabilities need tools to live their lives independently. For many, a service dog is the perfect addition to their tools.Service dogs are highly trained with specific tasks & skills to increase independence while working unobtrusively in all environments. Fetching dropped items, guiding visually impaired individuals, turn lights on/off, alerting to sounds for hearing impaired individuals, or medical alerts for diabetes or seizures, assisting in dressing or doing the laundry - these are just a few on the tasks service dogs do everyday. Independence is something we all treasure and deserve. You can make it happen for children & teens by support CDK and this outstanding event. You can Go Over The Edge and make the difference!
