Story

I will be running 100 miles in April to fundraise for Forever Stars in memory of our beautiful baby boy James. This will include running my first ever half marathon.

This April will mark one year since James was born sleeping at 26 weeks and as such seems a fitting time to take on this challenge to raise funds for a great charity.

The last year has been an incredibly difficult time for both Chris and I and running has really helped us to get through it.  Running 100 miles in one month however is a huge challenge for me, although nothing will be as tough as what I have experienced in the past year.

I will kick off this challenge with the Notts Easter 10K at Wollaton Park on 2nd April 2018. I will also be running The Longhorn Half Marathon on 22nd April and will finish with a 10K on Sunday 29th April (venue tbc). I will post updates on my progress to this site throughout April.

Forever Stars do a lot of great work to support bereaved parents of stillborn babies and early baby loss; having raised money to create 'Serenity Suites' at Nottingham hospitals, which we were personally very grateful for, they have recently launched the Forever In Bloom Appeal to develop a Remembrance Garden at Highfields Park in Nottingham.

Thank you for supporting me and Forever Stars and feel free to join me for a run at any point during April!
