I'm excited to be doing a triathlon for the first time in 3 weeks! I've been training in my own enthusiastic yet decidedly amateur way and have even invested in some impressively serious sporting gear such as a wetsuit and a road bike. 

Don't get too impressed though because I'm definitely not going to be breaking any records (of any kind) - but I'd love to be able to not only get to the finish line in one piece but also to raise some money for a great charity that makes a real difference to blood cancer sufferers and their families.
