Catherine and Carol are taking part in this years Great North Run and raising money for the Stephen Thompson Foundation. 🏃🏼‍♀️🏃🏽‍♀️

We both love running regularly with our local running groups, Coxhoe on the Run and Durham Mums on the Run and we know we will have fantastic support both  during our training and on the day of the run! 🖤💙

We also love Tikiboo 😉 💜💛❤️🧡💚💖

Although Catherine has taken part previously, this will be Carol’s First GNR!! 🤩 let’s get it ticked off her bucket list!

The main aim of the charity is to raise money for research into Giant Cell Myocarditis. There is only one clinic in America that is currently running a research programme into this heart disease, details of which an be found at www.myocarditisfoundation.org. We are hoping to raise sufficient funds so that research for Giant Cell Myocarditis can be set up within the UK.

The foundation also supports local grassroots football clubs in the NE. Stephen was very much involved junior football, playing for Wallsend Boys Club, Newcastle City Boys Team, NUFC School of Exellence and Wideopen Jnrs. He went on to play at Senior Level to a good standard in the Northern Alliance, Northern and Wearside League.
