Coire and I will climb the 7 hills of Edinburgh repeatedly until we've climbed the 3,533m ascent of Everest basecamp to Everest summit. Each round of the 7 hills includes 2,093 feet (638m) of ascent and 19 miles of distance. When COVID-19 restrictions allow us to leave Edinburgh, we'll go climb Munros (mountains in Scotland over 3,000 feet) as well. Coire is a 12-year-old collie, and loves going up hills. 

We're doing it to raise money for EMMS International's Christmas appeal to give every girl the opportunity of education and the chance to pursue her own ambitions. 

In many countries, some girls drop out of school to care for their loved ones with chronic illness. The EMMS International Every Girl Matters UK Aid Match appeal is a great opportunity to ensure that people get the quality palliative care that they need close to home, especially in the hard-to-reach regions of Nepal. £140 buys a mobile phone for a trained healthcare worker to provide immediate comfort and advice, 

£116 helps a girl stay in school and get the education she wants. 

£40 pays for a paediatric bed for a week in the Palliative Care Centre of Excellence in Pokhara.
