Fundraising for Rays of Sunshine
Story
This October I am running the London Marathon. Yes, you read that correct - I am running 26.2 miles!!
Rays of Sunshine is an incredible charity helping to support children and families facing the darkest circumstances. They work with children who have life-threatening illnesses and try to create smiles and memories for themselves and their families. The charity also buys equipment for these children and supports the hospices, hospitals and specialist schools that care for them.
Over the past 8 years, I have been helping Rays of Sunshine by participating in wish days and other events. All the money raised goes directly to helping the charity, making more wishes each day.
This charity is incredibly important and close to my heart, participating in wish days over the years has been one of the most rewarding things I have experienced. Running this marathon will be a huge challenge for me, but nothing that compares to the challenges these children and families are put through day by day.
