Charity Link is a great organisation which supports people throughout Leicester, Leicestershire, Rutland and Northamptonshire. It helps individuals and families in need by providing them with the everyday things that most of us take for granted, such as a bed to sleep in, a cooker to prepare a hot meal and, in emergencies, food.

Steve and Pete are taking part in the Charity Link’s ‘Leicestershire 3 Peaks Challenge’, a 16-mile route which takes in the two highest peaks in Leicestershire, Beacon Hill (814 feet) and Bardon Hill (912 feet), along with Old John in Bradgate Park and a few other hills along the way.

The Challenge is billed as a “power walk”. However, Steve and Pete have (perhaps foolishly) decided to attempt to run it in the hope of setting a course record and raising funds for a brilliant cause along the way!
