Charles had to retire in March this year because of ill health. He had already been sick for some time but remained optimistic about eventual recovery. Sadly, his condition declined rapidly, and he passed away on 14th May at the Whittington Hospital where he received excellent care. His medical team had great respect and admiration for the way he approached his situation and for the courage and determination he showed.
