We fund medical research into bowel health to improve treatments and save lives

Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

As some of you may know, at the end of 2013 my father was diagnosed with bowel cancer, thankfully he has since made a full recovery, but for many suffering from bowel disease this is not the case.

The Bowel Disease Research Foundation (BDRF) was set up in order to fund research into advancing the treatment and cure of bowel disease. Around 800,000 people in the UK have a serious bowel disease, yet it is an area that requires far more funding than it currently receives.

On the 8th May I will be running the Leeds half marathon, and I'm hoping to raise at least £700 for BDRF, but it would be great to reach £1000 if possible! I am in no way a natural long distance runner so this should provide a good challenge!

Any donations would be hugely appreciated no matter how big or small.

Many thanks in advance!
