My name is Charlotte Mulvey and I am the Owner of Stop the Wafflinn, a mobile Liege Belgian Waffle stall for parties, weddings and events. I live in Saddleworth and this is my story….
Cancer has touched my life in more ways than one. In fact, it is never too far away from anyone and we must all play a part in helping to fight it. To give something back I am running the Great Manchester 10K run on the 20th May 2018 and have chosen to support the Boot Out Breast Cancer charity as they will be able to help people in my local area. I have been training every day and I am hoping to be able to complete the run in around 1.5 hours - I will be wearing the Boot Out Breast Cancer running vest and my supporters will be on the start/end line with their cameras!
Boot Out Breast Cancer is a charity setup by Deborah Dowie in 2010 after she herself was diagnosed with breast cancer in 2009. She was one of the lucky ones and was diagnosed and treated quickly - her prognosis for recovery was good however she realised that for some people this is not always the case.
The NHS is in great need of the latest diagnostic equipment and Boot Out Breast Cancer raises much needed funds to buy this equipment and install it into breast cancer units around the Greater Manchester area.
Please do what you can to help me achieve my target for this worthwhile cause. Thank you! X
