Story
SO, out of the blue one Friday, Nat caught us (hung-over!) with a proposition - that we all run the London Marathon this year. By the end of that same day we'd each paid the deposit and that was that! A few weeks ago, our procrastination finally came to an end, and we started the cramming to prepare as much as possible to drag ourselves around the 26.2 miles in two months' time.
We are running the marathon for The PSP Association, which is a truly amazing charity very close to our hearts. As well as PSP (Progressive Supranuclear Palsy), the charity also supports a very rare condition called Cortico Basal Degeneration (CBD), which our dad has. It is fairly unknown and currently there is no treatment or cure. The PSPA provides practical support and information to people living with PSP and CBD, whilst helping research into treatments and ultimately a cure for these and related conditions. Because it is the only charity in the UK for these diseases it has often struggled with funding - which means that any donations however big or small are really incredibly important to them. So our goal is to raise awareness for PSPA as well as provide them with MUCH needed funds for the fantastic research carried out. And our dream is to help them find a cure for CBD.
This is why we are aiming
ultra HIGH for our fundraising target. We want to raise as much money as
possible to help fund all that The PSPA carry out and to raise as much
awareness as we can around it.
Thank you thank you thank you in advance for anything you do to help us!!
