Raising money for Warwicks and Northants Air Ambulance Charity in Memory of Richard Miller Sunday 19 July 2015 at 10.30 a.m.
Richard Miller was a good friend to many people including his mates from 'boys night' at the Artichoke on a Thursday evening who miss him. We wanted to do something which he would have appreciated and so riding around Pitsford Reservoir on a bike for the Warwicks/Northants Air Ambulance Charity followed by a BBQ and a few beers sounded like a good idea. As well as a businessman we knew Richard as an avid cyclist, particularly with Stephen Fehnert – they cycled around the reservoir from Moulton most weekends throughout the year. He was an aviator and fireman at Sywell and held a pilots license.
The event will take place on Sunday 19 July starting at 10.30 a.m. outside the Pitsford Cycle Shop, Pitsford Reservoir. The coffee shop is open there from 10 a.m. if you want a pre-cycle cafine fix.
Bikes can be hired from Pitsford Cycles at half their normal price which will be £5 for adults and £3.50 for children (for 2 hours) or you can bring your own.
Entry Fee is £15 for adults and £10 for children. This includes taking part in the event and a BBQ at the Artichoke Pub at Moulton afterwards. Donations can also be made for the charity via https://www.justgiving.com/Chris-Fountain2/
Riders can go around as many times as they like but from 1 p.m. we will start to adjourn to the Artichoke at Moulton for a few beers and a BBQ.
Participation will be by ticket only in advance – available at the Artichoke Pub or from Chris Fountain chrisfountain129@hotmail.com or phone 01604493789 or 07786312923
Looking forward to a great day for a really good cause in memory of a gentleman – Richard Miller.
