Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

As a tribute to my father-in-law, Brian Wigmore, I am cycling RideLondon-Surrey100 to raise money for Leukaemia Research.

In March 2006 our husband, father, brother and grandfather died, he was only 69.

In 2004 Brian was fit, healthy, active and a huge part of our lives and loved by all the family. By the end of the year he was diagnosed as having acute myeloid leukaemia and over the next year and a half endured numerous couses of chemotherapy and other treatments.

We sat with Brian as he lost his battle with this terriable disease, his body could no longer cope with the devastating effects of his treatment and his kidneys stopped working.

Our hope is that one day others will not have to endure the pain and suffering of losing a loved one as we did.

It's an unfortunate fact, but we will all be touched by cancer at sometimes in our lives, together we can beat cancer.

Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving – they’ll never sell them on or send unwanted emails. Once you donate, they’ll send your money directly to the charity and make sure Gift Aid is reclaimed on every eligible donation by a UK taxpayer. So please dig deep, keep me motivated and donate now.
