I'm running my first ever Marathon in Manchester on 8th April in aid of This is EPIC. The charity exists to see positive change in the lives of people, families and communities in Africa. What I love about the charity is their passion for empowering people to overcome poverty in a sustainable way through their savings and loans projects. Their work provides a help up rather than a hand out!

I think it's particularly apt that I'm raising funds for this charity, as had it not been for This is EPIC and the EPIC Challenges they organise in Guernsey  -  I would never EVER have considered the possibility that I could run a marathon. So they have certainly inspired EPICNESS as far as I'm concerned! And my husband Craig has decided to run it with me....
