Story

The local CrossFit and fitness community of Surrey and South West London is trying to raise money to say thank you to Kent Surrey Sussex Air Ambulance Trust for coming to the assistance of a local member of our community.
On Saturday 29th June 2019 Chris Driver, collapsed in the nearby car park. Chris had suffered a heart attack and went in to cardiac arrest. He received immediate bystander CPR and 4 shocks from the defibrillator that was on site.
Because of the love and care in this community, Chris is alive, well and home with his family. Chris is alive because of the quick thinking of the team in this photo and because of the defibrillator. Chris had regained consciousness as he was taken to the ambulance. South East Ambulance NHS Foundation Trust attended as did Kent Surrey Sussex Air Ambulance Trust.
The air ambulance is a charity and it cost thousands of pounds each time it attends a patient.
Chris is a fit individual and this could have been any one of us.
NewWave CrossFit, Sunbury CrossFit, Blitz, Motion Training, 2012 CrossFit, Intouch, Slough CrossFit, 1971 Wimbledon CrossFit, CrossFit Guildford, Locker 27, Silvermere Strength and Fitness and Gym 66 are all getting together to carry out a fundraising event with the intention to row 1,000,000 metres within 24 hours.
Please help us raise money for the KSS Air Ambulance to show how grateful we are and to fund future attendances to patients in need of their care in our community.
