We help people with acquired brain injuries to live well and achieve independence

Story

Thousands of people acquire brain injuries in the UK each year as a result of accidents, assaults and strokes. Finding help in the community can be difficult. Headway is a charity that provides vital support and information services, helping those with brain injuries to rebuild their lives.

On 27th February 2022 I'll be running the Brighton Half Marathon to raise money for Headway Sussex, who urgently need funds to respond to unmet need and rising demand across the county.

After quite a sedentary couple of years of home-working/home-schooling, running a half-marathon is a personal challenge. In addition to getting active again - I am pleased that the race also gives me the chance to raise money for such a great cause.

Working with people who have acquired brain injury in accidents and assaults, I  hear about the positive impact that Headway's work has - both for them and their families. Living in Sussex, I am running to help fund the important and life-changing support and services that Headway offers in this area.
