UPDATE - 3rd June 2020

As most of you know the London Landmarks Half Marathon which I was due to run back in March got postponed as the world in which we know suddenly changed for everyone. The organisers of this event sadly could not reschedule so therefore I will not be running this race this year. They did however set up a virtual race which allows us all to complete 5k plus in our own local landmarks challenge. I am still yet to find out whether I can defer my charity place to next year so wanted to try and reach my target in another way.

It is no secret that We Are Beams gave me and my family alot of support some years ago when we were going through a long and gruelling diagnosis procedure for our beautiful Macy. All these years on I will never forget what they did for us and like to continue in little ways to give something back where I can. They are an amazing local charity who help families in so many ways and even more so now rely on fundraising to continue their work. 

With all this in mind you can imagine how touched I am that my now 14 year old Macy has decided she would like to complete my local landmarks challenge with me. So today when the email hit my inbox declaring that the deadline for this is midnight on Sunday, yes this Sunday, to say I panicked a little is an understatement. 

So me and Macy today set off for our first 5k and over the next few days have decided we will be completing the half marathon distance together. She doesn't know it yet but I will also be giving her my medal because words cannot express how proud I am of her doing this with me. 

I know times are tough for alot of people right now so I know I am asking alot but please if you have a few spare pounds to donate it would be so very appreciated.
