Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page. I’ve decided to take on a huge challenge to support the charity “When You Wish Upon A Star” who enable sick children to experience once in a lifetime trips.

I am taking part in the Arctic trek January 2022, something well out of my comfort zone and will push boundaries. The trek involves 3 days walking approx 28km per day. Camping outside in Arctic conditions in a two man tent with temperatures that will plummet to -40 degrees. Part of the trek will also involve crossing a frozen river. This will be my biggest physical challenge I’ve ever taken on and will require lots of training, time and effort.

We got to experience what this charity does first hand, in December 2019. We got the surprise of a lifetime when invited along to experience the magic of Lapland. It was one of the best days we have ever had as a family and was much needed during Imogen’s intense chemotherapy treatment. My oldest daughter Lacey also had a cancer diagnosis as a baby and never received a wish as she was too young, so it was great she got to come to Lapland with us and experience such an amazing trip :)

Now it’s time for me to fundraise and give back so the charity can continue to create special moments out with hospital and medical treatments. Please sponsor me and give sick children a chance to smile and make their wishes come true.

I’m making it my mission to raise £10,000 or even smash the target with more! I hope to pay for as many seats as I can on their 2022 trip to Lapland with sick children and families, each seat costs £450 and they allow four people per family. The costs soon add up. £10,000 would pay for 22 seats aboard the flight and I really hope to make this possible (22 seats for 2022).
