Thank you for visiting our Just Giving page.
On the 19/20 September we will be attempting the massive challenge of riding the whole of the South Downs Way, the classic and ancient, off-road trail, stretching exactly one hundred miles from Winchester to Eastbourne, with a total elevation gain of 13,620ft.
We are really excited about taking part in this challenge, if a bit nervous!
We would like to dedicate our ride to Clare's niece, Tess, and to raise sponsorship for the amazing Small Steps charity. Tess was diagnosed with a form of infant epilepsy called Infantile Spasms in 2018. Continual seizures throughout her young life have given Tess a lot of challenges. Small Steps is a charity that has been hugely supportive to Tess as well as to Clare's sister Cathy and her brother in law, Leif. They specialise in teaching, supporting and helping young children with disabilities and their families through very personalised courses of physiotherapy designed to help each child achieve the next developmental steps. By making the sessions play-based, children are able to develop in a fun, multi-sensory environment. Just as important is the forum they provide for parents to meet other families going through similar situations, helping to develop a crucial support network.
Small Steps does not receive any statutory funding and relies solely on grants, donations and fundraising in order to operate.
Fiona and I would like to raise awareness for this amazing charity and any donations no matter how small would be welcome.
Thank you very much for your support!
