Story

Thank you for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

On Thursday 12th March 2015 I am lucky enough to be taking part in the Charity Race at the Cheltenham Festival in aid of The IJF.

After trying my hand at race riding in the dim and distant past I soon realised - with good advice - that my future in racing lay in a different area. The 30 years since I made that decision have been spent working for two champion trainers doing a job I love, working with people I hugely respect and some of the most amazing horses ever to have graced a racecourse - I am incredibly lucky.

When I was offered the opportunity to take part in this race it was an easy decision. We know first hand that life can throw you some cruel twists, so being able to raise money for a charity that helps the people in our sport who put themselves on the line daily, at times when they need it the most, is a huge honour; to put something back in to an industry and community who have supported me and given me so much over the years.

Please spare whatever you can - every little helps - and I might be the oldest in the race but rest assured when the day comes I'll be trying my best to win!!!

Thank you very much xx
