Story
Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
Back in school I was big! 18 stone big! I eat crisps, chocolate, cakes on a daily basis, eventually I gathered the courage to look in the mirror and hated what I saw, hated every part of me and the difficulty’s i faced with just simple movements, I cycled a lot to school and back but even that was not enough to burn off the 4600 calorie intake I was eating, so i decided enough was enough and cut out all the food I eat and restricted myself to simple meals and the occasional snack while at the same time joined the TA (Territorial Army) The TA put me through some harsh training, running bleep tests, circuit training, mountain hikes (Hills which felt like mountains when your 18 stone).
Over the period of 2 months I had lost 4 stone and all that was left in fat was a simple pot beer belly, I was extremely proud of what I had accomplished but I was not satisfied so I kept exercising with the TA until I was 20, to which I then left.
8 years later I have now hit a new barrier and the only way to overcome this barrier is to set myself a challenge (Tough Mudder)
The extreme conditions of this challenge requires me to become a very fit person this means healthy eating, bulking up, building strength while also making sure I can run 12 miles at a decent pace, 5 months is what I have to go on changing from the average Joe to being physically fit! It is not going to be an easy challenge.
I chose Headway as my charity because being a Motorcyclist with all my family head injuries are a bikers worst nightmare when involved in an accident, headway help those that have had accidents bringing confidence back into their life’s that have been destroyed. Head injuries are one of the worst injuries a person can have as it can affect your entire body ranging from thought processing to movement and the nervous systems.
So please donate as much as you can to this worthwhile charity.
Thank You
