We are Great Ormond Street Hospital Charity. We stop at nothing to help give seriously ill children childhoods that are fuller, funner and longer. Because we believe no childhood should be lost to illness.

Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit our JustGiving page.

We are a team of servicemen and civilians, 5 of us altogether coming together to do a charity event called 7 Days Of Pain. We are specifically raising money for The Connor Wright Schwachman Diamond Project, a specific fund within Great Ormond Street Hospital Childrens Charity (SG 08). This is a non-profit organisationto bring awareness and raise funds for this very unordinary condition, Shwachman Diamond Syndrome (SDS).

SDS is genetic and an inherited condition. It is a rare complex disease because it is a multi system disorder affecting particulary the pancreas, bone marrow and skeleton. Next to Cystic Fybrosis, it is the most common cause of pancreatic insufficiency in children.

Please take a look at Connor's support page at the address below for more information about the condition and what the charity are doing to help, and specifically to know what your donation would be used for.

So I hope you have taken the time to have a look and will understand the importance of raising awareness for such a condition, as we all did before choosing this charity to raise money for.
