Story
I work with a 17yo young man called Cameron. He recently pleaded guilty to assaulting a male in his 20s whilst carrying a weapon. This was in response to the male the threatening a young female. He accepts that he dealt with this the wrong way and should not have been carrying a weapon. He feels ashamed of his actions saying ‘It’s not me to behave like that’. He wants to do something to make ammends. He’s genuinely terrified of heights has decided to step out of his comfort zone by doing a sky dive for @StreetDoctors, a charity committed to reducing youth violence through education whilst providing young people at risk of violence with life saving first aid skills. He will jump from 13,000ft at the Army Parachute Association in Netheravon and will free fall at 200ft per second.
The young man lost his mum when he was 9years old and is now in the care system. As such he’s worried that he won’t reach his fundraising target of £1000. He’s working hard to change his life and has made initial steps toward an army career. This event is certainly in keeping with some of the Army’s core values, such as selfless commitment and courage! I’m confident that together we can help him reach his target! Please give what you can to support this amazing charity and this young mans effort to change his life and make a positive difference. Every £ and every share is hugely appreciated. Thank you!
PLEASE NOTE THAT SOME OF THE FUNDS RAISED MAY BE USED TO COVER THE COST OF THIS EVENT. THIS WILL BE UP TO BUT NO GREATER THAN AN AMOUNT = TO 1/3 OF THE FINAL FUNDRAISING TOTAL EXCLUDING GIFT AID
