Story
On August 1st last year I was involved in an accident on my bike. By avoiding a pedestrian that stepped out in front of me I came off my bike and severed my femoral vein, losing 5 units of blood at the scene. The air ambulance was called and the paramedics managed to stem the flow of blood and get me to St George's hospital in under two minutes where I was lucky enough to receive 5 hours of life saving surgery by an amazing surgeon.
Without the service of the air ambulance it's very unlikely I would of survived the journey to hospital in the rush hour.
The air ambulance service doesn't receive any Government funding and relies on donations to keep on servicing the area of Kent, Sussex and Surrey, their trip to save me would of cost at least £6k and throughout this year Daniel, Ruby, Ellis and I are aiming to do a series of challenges in order to try and raise that money back.
If you can afford to give just a little, the price of a Starbucks coffee or glass of wine in the pub, I would be extremely grateful.
Lots of Love
